About the Dassault Falcon 5X

The Dassault Falcon 5X is a long-range business jet manufactured by the French aerospace company, Dassault Aviation. It was first announced in 2013 as a replacement for the popular Falcon 50EX model.

The Falcon 5X is equipped with two Silvercrest turbofan engines that deliver a range of up to 5,200 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.90. The aircraft can comfortably seat up to 16 passengers and features a spacious cabin with large windows, advanced soundproofing, and adjustable lighting.

One of the most notable features of the Falcon 5X is its advanced flight deck, which is based on the Dassault EASy III avionics suite. The flight deck includes four large high-resolution displays, a digital head-up display, and advanced flight management systems that provide pilots with real-time data and situational awareness.

The Falcon 5X also incorporates the latest in aerodynamic design, with a unique wing shape that improves efficiency and reduces noise. It also includes advanced safety features, such as a fly-by-wire flight control system and enhanced vision systems, which enhance situational awareness and reduce pilot workload.

The Falcon 5X completed its first flight in July 2017 and was initially scheduled for delivery in 2020. However, Dassault Aviation announced in 2018 that it was cancelling the Falcon 5X program due to ongoing issues with the Silvercrest engines. The company has since focused on developing the Falcon 6X, a larger and more advanced business jet that is expected to enter service in 2023.
